The Cost Control Accountant plays a vital role in overseeing daily financial operations associated with manufacturing at Future Foods Enterprises, LLC. This position is tasked with developing, executing, and monitoring standard costs and key performance indicators (KPIs) pertinent to manufacturing, alongside managing weekly and monthly internal reporting and month-end closing processes.

Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the CFO

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, analyze, and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly manufacturing KPIs.
  • Oversee inventory and fixed asset management processes for manufacturing and fulfillment centers.
  • Maintain comprehensive cost and accounting records for the material master of both new and existing products.
  • Develop cost estimates for new product lines and continuously assess changes in costs for existing products or services.
  • Assist in the month-end closing process, including the verification of journal entries in NetSuite.
  • Analyze current manufacturing processes and spearhead cost improvement initiatives.
  • Compile and interpret financial data to create financial statements, flash reports, and performance reports.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures in maintaining financial records.
  • Guarantee accurate and timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities, including period-end accruals.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
  • Support internal reporting requirements, including audit and tax schedules.
  • Resolve discrepancies and irregularities in accounting records.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing.
  • Process payroll and manage labor reports and job credits.
  • Exhibit the ability to work autonomously while collaborating across departments in a dynamic, high-volume environment, emphasizing precision and timeliness.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and uphold a high standard of integrity.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost or financial accounting.
  • Experience in a food production environment is highly preferred.
