Job Summary

As a Medical Assistant at MFA Co, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive patient care in a neurology setting. Your primary responsibility will be to assist physicians, nurses, and patients by providing ambulatory medical care services. This includes clinic patient flow, informing physicians of patients' arrival and room assignment, and accompanying patients in the exam room in a professional manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience.
  • Obtain patient vital signs, including height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration, using manual equipment and Welch Allen spot vital sign machines.
  • Accurately record patient information and vital signs in the electronic medical record, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Administer medications (oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, intradermal, inhalation, rectal, topical) using proper technique, under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional.
  • Perform a variety of testing, diagnostic, and screening procedures, as directed by physicians, and assist in explaining test procedures to patients.
  • May be required to take patient medical history and perform other tasks as assigned by physicians or nursing staff.

Requirements
  • High school diploma and graduation from a Medical Assistant school.
  • Certification and Registration as a Medical Assistant.
  • Current basic CPR/AED certification.
