Position: Radiology Imaging Specialist

Location: Nashville, TN

Contract Duration: 2 months (potential for extension)

Work Arrangement: Local/Onsite (vaccination required)

Work Schedule: 3pm to 12am, 5 days a week, with some weekends required (every other week). If you work on the weekend, you will receive two days off during the week.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Radiology Imaging Specialist is responsible for the coordination and distribution of patient radiology images. This is an entry-level role intended for local candidates.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred entry-level experience in Health Information Technology (HIT).
  • Prior experience in imaging or radiology is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills are essential, along with the potential need to provide customer service to patients and healthcare providers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate the provision of imaging discs to patients and their representatives upon request.
  • Distribute medical imaging to staff and external agencies as authorized.
  • Receive and import medical imaging from external sources.
  • Direct requests not managed by the imaging library to the appropriate departments.
  • Communicate the status of requests to relevant contacts, noting any delays or issues.
  • Arrange for the interpretation of external medical images as requested.
  • Address or route tickets created by hospital personnel.
  • Respond to phone inquiries and provide necessary information or assistance.
  • Maintain adequate office supplies.
  • Ensure the functionality of equipment and notify management if issues arise.
  • Prepare media for shipment via FedEx or USPS.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) along with 2 years of relevant experience.
