Job Title: Resident Care Specialist

Estimated Salary: $40,000 - $58,000 per year

Job Description

The Resident Care Specialist is responsible for coordinating resident care related to medications by working with all departments, the medical community, families and administrative staff to provide for resident needs with continuity and an adherence to the scope of practice and licensure for the community.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all medication documentation is current and correct in E-MAR before administering
  • Monitoring psychotropic med use and ensuring resident behaviors actually warrant the use of medication
  • Controlling medication room access and key assignment
  • Pouring, passing, and assisting with administration of medications in accordance with state regulations

Required Skills and Qualifications: Must have a strong understanding of medication management and be able to work independently. Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare providers.
