Server Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Server Assistant to join our team at The Washington House. As a Server Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our guests have an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with each customer to make them feel welcome and comfortable, making eye contact and providing exceptional customer service.
• Fill water glasses when guests arrive and keep them full throughout their meal, ensuring our guests' needs are met.
• Clear courses when everyone at the table is done and remove all appropriate silverware and glasses, maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
• Reset tables neatly with all appropriate silverware, glassware, cloths, etc., and sanitize as necessary, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Follow all restaurant protocols for service, ensuring a seamless and efficient dining experience for our guests.
• Restock stations with silverware, plates, etc., to be able to reset tables efficiently and accurately, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
• Carry buspans of dirty dishes to the kitchen and unload, maintaining a smooth workflow and contributing to the overall success of our team.
• Work cooperatively with all front of house, back of house, hotel, and theater staff to maintain a positive work environment at all times, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration.

Requirements:

• Reliable transportation to and from work, ensuring punctuality and a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work varied hours and days, including weekends and weeknights, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing schedules.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy plates, buspans, and dining room tables and chairs when necessary, showcasing physical stamina and a commitment to getting the job done.
• Must be at least 17 years old, with working papers required for those applicants 17 or 18 years old, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
