Job Summary

The InsideHigherEd team is seeking a skilled Plumbing Instructor to join our part-time faculty team. As an adjunct instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction at our Mechanical Trades Carolina Training Center. Your primary focus will be on maintaining instructional quality and effectiveness through continuous revision of course elements and syllabi to meet plumbing industry workforce demands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning
  • Employ effective teaching strategies to communicate subject matter to students
  • Assist in the recruitment and retention of apprentices registered with the NC Dept. of Labor
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director

Requirements
  • Completion of a documented 4 or 5-year apprentice program and/or 2-year degree
  • Ten years of experience in plumbing or a related field
  • Two years of classroom experience and 10-Hour OSHA Certification required
  • Commercial plumbing license or a plumbing inspection license
  • Knowledge and understanding of NC Plumbing Code and plumbing systems
