We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to lead our medical office team at Mass General Brigham. As a Medical Office RN Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the clinic, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and leading a team of clinical staff.
Responsibilities:- Act as a liaison between clinical staff and practice managers/providers to ensure successful clinical operation.
- Maintain clinical supplies and equipment, including overseeing the ordering of medical supplies.
- Coordinate provider schedules and patient appointments, including training clinical staff on the use of practice management software.
- Plan, develop, organize, and direct the day-to-day functions of clinical staff.
- Identify and resolve work-related problems and develop short and long-term plans to address identified issues.
- Assist providers and clinical staff as needed with clinical issues, coordinating patient tests, etc.
- Comply with and enforce all established WDHS policies, procedures, and protocols, as well as department-specific policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain good communication and positive working relationships with providers, staff members, patients, visitors, and other internal and external customers.
- Orient and train all clinical employees, and serve as the designated preceptor for new clinical staff.
- Direct, schedule, and assign work to clinical staff.
- Assist with preparation and conducting formal/informal performance evaluations and recommend merit increases involving staff members.
- Assist with conducting timely introductory performance evaluations for new clinical employees and completing timely annual performance evaluations.
- Lead, plan, attend, and actively participate in clinical meetings, provider meetings, and hospital-wide committees or meetings as requested.
- Assist practice managers in reviewing Press-Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey results on a quarterly basis.
- Implement processes to facilitate and improve the team's efforts to manage and improve clinical outcomes for selected patient populations and other PI projects identified within the office.
- Meet all aspects of the Office Nurse (RN) or Office Nurse (LPN) job description and performance standards.
- Ensure clinical staff meet or exceed clinical competencies to function at the top of their license.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- 35 years of medical office experience required. Previous clinical coordinator role or equivalent, preferably primary care with pediatric experience strongly preferred.
