About the Job

Ryder System is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Mobile Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy-duty trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, including AC, electrical systems, and advanced skilled level repairs
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure quality of repair work and customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate work schedule with customers and ensure timely completion of repairs
  • Perform vehicle inspections and identify potential issues before they become major problems
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification or post-secondary degree preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Three years or more relevant work experience preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
