Job Title: Manager, Statistics

AbbVie is seeking a highly skilled Manager, Statistics to join our research and development organization. As a key member of our team, you will provide statistical expertise to support the design, analysis, and reporting of clinical trials and other scientific research studies.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide statistical expertise to design, analyze, and report clinical trials or other scientific research studies.
  • Develop protocols and statistical analysis plans with details for programming implementation.
  • Implement sound statistical methodology in scientific investigations.
  • Identify scientifically appropriate data collection instruments and report data issues or violations of study assumptions.
  • Collaborate with Data Science to prepare for database lock and ensure the delivery of high-quality outputs according to agreed-upon timelines.
  • Develop strategy for data presentation and inference, and collaborate in the publication of scientific research.
  • Ensure accuracy and internal consistency of reports and publications, including tables, listings, and figures.
  • Work collaboratively with multifunction teams and clearly explain statistical concepts to non-statisticians.
Qualifications:
  • MS (with 6+ years of experience) or PhD (with 2+ years of experience) in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a highly related field.
  • High degree of technical competence and effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Able to perform statistical computations and simulations.
  • Able to identify data or analytical issues, and assist with providing solutions.
  • Able to build strong relationships with peers and cross-functional partners to achieve higher performance.

Additional Information:

The compensation range for this role is $103,500 - $197,000. AbbVie offers a comprehensive package of benefits, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees. This job is eligible to participate in our short-term and long-term incentive programs.
