Job Summary

KASTO INC, a leading manufacturer of industrial equipment, is seeking an experienced Service Mechanic/Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for inspecting, operating, and testing machinery and equipment to diagnose problems, determine parts and estimated time frames to complete repairs.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity that requires up to 100% paid travel. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with ever-changing tasks and environments. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily and weekly inspections as assigned by the site supervisor to ensure the integrity of our equipment.
  • Identify and troubleshoot problems with machinery and equipment, determining parts and materials needed for repairs.
  • Lay out repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and schematic diagrams to ensure accurate and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Dismantle broken or defective equipment to facilitate repair and reassemble when completed.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and moving equipment to position vehicles, equipment, physical structures, and other objects for assembly or installation.
  • Transfer tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from workstations and other warehouse areas.
  • Safely adjust, connect, or disconnect wiring, piping, tubing, and other parts, ensuring electrical safety at all times.
  • Install and repair electronic components of equipment as necessary.
  • Repair, adjust, and replace gauges, valves, and other regulating equipment.
  • Adjust, align, and balance equipment as needed.
  • Test machines after repair to ensure they are functioning properly.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma/GED and 1 year technical school or 4 years on-the-job training in an industrial maintenance environment.
  • Ability to use a multi-meter for electrical troubleshooting, power tools for mechanical repairs, and programmable logic controllers for troubleshooting.
  • Strong reading and interpretation skills to understand safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Excellent writing skills to create routine reports and correspondence.
  • Effective communication skills to speak before groups of customers or employees.
  • Basic mathematical skills to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
