Software Automation Engineer

The Role:
As a member of our AMD System IP Methodology Team, you'll design, develop, and troubleshoot software programs, application tools, and networks to enhance workflows and provide automation solutions. You'll work with large data, identify roadblocks, and develop tools to remove inefficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and build tool chains for critical functions
Own and drive improvements to build, simulation, release scripts, tools, and processes
Automate technologies to improve engineering efforts' velocity and quality
Shape and build efficient self-learning applications
Requirements:
Experienced Software Engineer with extensive experience in hands-on coding and previous Lead experience
Deep knowledge of programming languages, including shell, C++, Perl, Python, Groovy, Java, and/or Ruby
Strong background in object-oriented programming, data analysis, data modeling techniques, and data visualization
Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
Ability to think critically and formulate solutions in a clear, concise, and timely manner
Expertise in Database administration and SQL, Continuous integration and deployment tools, and version control systems
Very good understanding of LSF and Unix system (RedHat)
Academic Credentials:
Masters degree in computer engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred
Location:
Santa Clara, CA preferred, Austin, TX can be an option
