About the Role

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a compassionate and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Travel LPN. This opportunity allows an LPN to work in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from their home address, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting.
  • Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilize appropriate age and population-specific standards related to the physical and psychosocial needs of the resident as per care plan.
  • Perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status and provide the care needed.
  • Recognize problems, recommend solutions, and respond effectively to assist in an emergent situation.
  • Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of residents.
  • Contribute to the assessment of residents and administer medications or treatments as ordered.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Be a Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Have Associate degree in practical nursing preferred.
  • Hold an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
  • Obtain and subsequently maintain required department specific competencies and certifications.
