Job Summary

CHS Inc. is a leading global agribusiness seeking a skilled Agriculture Laborer to join our grain team in Carrollton, IL. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for running all operations, managing load out functions, and building strong relationships with our customers by providing product expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently, including developing and maintaining knowledge of commodities handled at the location and complying with company policy and government regulations.
  • Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner, preparing trucks and railcars for loading/unloading, and loading and unloading agricultural inputs from railcars and/or trucks.
  • Control and monitor all load out functions, understand and operate automated scale/dump systems, and conduct and properly record daily, weekly and monthly maintenance tasks.
  • Deliver products such as fertilizer, chemical, seed, feed and others to customer sites, and keep all work areas in a clean, orderly and safe condition.
  • Promptly report any customer complaints, repair or maintenance needs, or safety concerns to supervisor, and maintain and promote a strong safety culture.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of operations and/or business operations, and ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile.
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands, and high school diploma or GED preferred.
  • CDL license or ability to attain one with Hazmat endorsement preferred, and agriculture experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred, and pre-employment screening may be required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds, climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and bins, and work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures.
