Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Technician to join our team at Trane Technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for starting and commissioning new systems, diagnosing and repairing environmental-control systems, and utilizing your knowledge of electronics, direct digital control, airflow, refrigeration theory, and control and mechanical techniques in diverse commercial settings.

As a Controls Technician, you will represent the company by serving as the direct customer contact and be responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems at customer's location.

You will also coordinate with team leaders and customers to precisely understand requirements for all on-site installation and repairs by forecasting issues, gathering materials and synchronizing on-site work.

Additionally, you will keep current on Trane products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of direct digital control systems.

Our ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience, at least 3-5 years of experience in HVAC/Controls, and technical school or formal training is preferred.

Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with handheld computers is also required.

Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations.

Responsibilities:
  • Start and commission new systems

Requirements:
