Objective
- Oversee the execution of field actions concerning safety defects and potential noncompliance with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS). Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement field actions effectively and efficiently. Drive significant system and process improvements.
- Lead and coordinate Hyundai teams to address safety concerns by managing and initiating field actions directed at customers.
- Innovate technical strategies to streamline field action processes.
- Contribute to the development of the Global Field Action Management System for managing VIN-related activities.
- Track and analyze field action completion rates.
- Assist in formulating advanced outreach strategies to enhance completion rates.
- Create a comprehensive suite of tools for tracking completion.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the availability of parts and establish equitable allocation plans for each region.
- Prepare updates for senior leadership to communicate progress and challenges.
- Work with relevant Hyundai teams to identify potential discrepancies in field action performance and initiate necessary in-depth analyses.
- Participate in Safety Decision Meetings as required.
- This role necessitates maintaining a high level of advanced technical knowledge regarding Hyundai vehicles and automotive components, along with the capability to generate management-level reports.
- Utilize independent judgment to assess and validate field action repairs associated with safety-related recall campaigns.
- Engage with Hyundai design, manufacturing, and supplier partners.
- Take part in engineering reviews and the resolution of vehicle safety-related claims.

Relevant Experience
- A minimum of five years of pertinent work experience.
- Experience in executing timely field action launches to mitigate equipment failure modes.
- Three or more years of experience in the automotive sector, encompassing vehicle safety, design, testing, field reliability assessment, and service is preferred.
- Experience in automotive assembly plants or component manufacturing is a plus.
- Results-oriented with strong project and program management capabilities.
- Ability to identify and leverage corporate expertise related to the issue at hand.
- Comprehensive automotive technical knowledge is essential.
- Ability to interpret and understand federal regulations pertaining to automotive safety.
- Skilled in negotiating resources, timelines, and priorities to meet project objectives.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact clearly and concisely with individuals.
