Cath Lab Technologist Job Description

**Job Summary:**

CrossMed - Cath Lab is seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team for a travel assignment in a hospital setting. As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and assisting with medical procedures in the cath lab.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with medical procedures in the cath lab, including preparing patients, operating equipment, and monitoring patient responses.
  • Provide and coordinate patient care, including transporting patients, maintaining cleanliness of rooms, and ensuring adequate stock of supplies.
  • Monitor and evaluate patients before, during, and after procedures, reporting outcomes and maintaining accurate records.
  • Communicate effectively with other healthcare team members, including physicians, nurses, and other technicians.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • At least 1-2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of medical technology or a related field.
  • Certifications may be required based on facility requirements.
  • Physical abilities to remain in a stationary position, move and lift equipment, push, bend, and pull.
  • Interpersonal skills to work with diverse personnel, including professional and support staff, while maintaining a positive demeanor and professional appearance.
  • Technical skills to grasp, push/pull, and move while assisting with procedures or operating departmental equipment.
  • Cognitive demands to manage frequent interactions with the public and customers, meet deadlines under pressure, and work under occasional close supervision or independently.
  • Sensory skills to have keen visual understanding and practical communication abilities.
