Job Summary

ITAC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Project Manager/Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Controls Project Manager/Engineer at ITAC, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of control systems projects for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design complex instrumentation, PLC systems, communication networks, and plant SCADA systems required for a project.
  • Create P&ID drawings, panel drawings, loop drawings, O&M manuals, etc.
  • Fully design, document, build, integrate, startup and complete a complex plant automation design.
  • Collaborate with clients to define project requirements and develop project plans.
  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships as well as be a team player with members of the ITAC team.
  • Manage and lead a team of engineers and technicians in the design, implementation, and commissioning of control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project team members.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of project deliverables.
  • Travel throughout the United States is required, approximately 10% of the year.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in municipal (water / wastewater) automation projects including design, and project management skills from project conception to completion is preferred.
  • Experience with Biogas and Filter Membrane process is a plus.
  • Must have extensive knowledge and experience in water and wastewater plant processes.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex control systems projects from concept to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of control system design principles and practices.
  • Experience with process automation and SCADA systems.
  • Experience in programming PLCs, such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Schneider Electric, is a plus.
  • Experience with HMI graphic screen development is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
