Counselor - Mental Health Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Clinician to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a key member of our student services department, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive mental health services to our students.
Key Responsibilities- Provide short-term counseling services to students, including individual and group therapy sessions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans to address students' mental health needs.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and community agencies to provide comprehensive support services to students.
- Supervise and train mental health professionals, including interns and practicum students.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Provide crisis intervention and emergency services as needed.
- Participate in program evaluation and quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies and organizations to provide referrals and resources for students.
- Master's degree in Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Social Work.
- Corresponding license to practice therapy, such as LCSW, MFT, or LMFT.
- Two years of experience providing mental health services to students in a higher education setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to mental health services.
- Doctorate in Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Social Work.
- Experience working in a college or university health service position.
- Experience supervising and training mental health professionals.
- Knowledge of electronic record systems.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including students with mental health concerns.
