Sales Representative

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team at Sherwin-Williams. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and revenue expansion in assigned territories. You will work closely with store associates, store management, and other district managers to establish strong selling relationships and promote our brand and product strengths.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales:
- Establish strong selling relationships with store associates, store management, and other district managers.
- Promote and represent the brand and product strengths to Lowes associates, customers, and contractors, highlighting competitive advantages and competitor weaknesses.
- Utilize the CRM system to document sales calls and store visits, gathering and documenting competitor intelligence information.
- Conduct contractor events to promote products and increase sales.
- Ensure promotions, pricing, and signage are set appropriately in each store.
- Prepare Annual Growth Plan (AGP) for assigned stores in the territory that meet or exceed sales and profit goals.
- Training:
- Conduct product knowledge (PK) training sessions for current and newly hired Lowes associates, covering features, benefits, and selling skills, including product demonstrations.
- Conduct sales training to current and newly hired Lowes associates.
- Promotional Display training to Lowes associates.
- Train store associates on equipment, such as tinting machines.
- Service:
- Assist store associates with tinting and mixing paint as needed.
- Review and manage department inventory, ensuring products are fully stocked and properly displayed, replacing defective products.
- Make sales calls to residential repainters, remodelers, property maintenance managers, and local home builders to increase pro-paint sales.
- Merchandising/Color Collateral/Displays:
- Maintain store signage, merchandising displays, color chip, and color card stock.
- Order inventory of collateral to ensure stock levels.
- Miscellaneous Responsibilities:
- Review and manage Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, including expense management, mistint expense tracking, collateral expenses, and Travel and Expenses (T&E).
- Assist other Sales Service Representatives as needed.
- Attend required conference calls.
- Attend local and non-local trainings as required.
- Attend National Sales Meetings.
- Complete required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma; Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
- 1+ year previous experience in Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, or other Business-related field.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends, with up to 9 Saturdays per year.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Strong Organizational and Communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate in Spanish.
- Conducting presentations to groups of employees.
- Experience in sales, customer service, or merchandising.
- Ability to work independently.
- P&L/Budget Management.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
- Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to climb and descend stairs.
- Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
- May work indoors and outdoors as needed.
- May work in areas where noise levels are such that hearing protection is required.
- May work in areas where toxic, flammable, and hazardous materials are present.
- May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt.
- Work surfaces may include concrete.
- Employee must be able to tolerate non-toxic paint odors and be able to wear a respirator as required.
- Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
- Some travel to other locations, meetings, and/or seminars is required.
Technical/Skill Requirements:
- Must have the ability to learn to operate the in-store tinting machines.
- Must be able to operate an iPhone and computer.
Travel Requirements:
- 50% or more (May be less, depending on Geographic Region).
