Job Summary:
Edward-Elmhurst Health is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for providing direct physical therapy services to patients, demonstrating a high level of clinical skill and expertise in pediatric physical therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients' physical and functional status and develop individualized treatment plans to achieve precise, functional goals.
- Implement therapeutic programs that include prevention, identification, correction, and alleviation of acute or prolonged movement dysfunction of an anatomic or physiologic origin.
- Use excellent communication skills to educate patients and engage them in their own care.
- Stay updated regarding developments, new techniques, and equipment in the field of physical therapy.
- Maintain a well-rounded knowledge base and clinical reasoning skills to consistently achieve expected clinical outcomes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (if graduated before 2002) OR Master of Science or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (if graduated 2002 - 2014) OR Doctorate in Physical Therapy (if graduated 2015 and after).
- Current State of Illinois Physical Therapist licensure.
- Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association BLS provider.
- A valid driver's license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off-site location.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years experience with demonstration of clinical independence and experience in pediatric physical therapy skills.
