Executive Chef Job Description

At Great Wolf Lodge, we are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation and presentation in our restaurants and bars.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation
  • Manage and direct the preparation and presentation of all foods in all venues of the Lodge
  • Maintain and follow all local Health Department food preparation codes and regulations
  • Ensure all food preparation licenses and training are maintained by all team members
  • Lead and develop a high-performing culinary team, including hiring, training, and scheduling
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and labor expenses
  • Collaborate with the Director of Food and Beverage to develop and implement new menu concepts and promotions
  • Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and service standards
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in a restaurant kitchen, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
  • High school degree or equivalent, with a culinary education degree preferred
  • Proven track record of success in menu development, food cost control, and team leadership
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
