Your primary responsibility encompasses overseeing Safety, Quality, Production, and Customer Satisfaction throughout each project.
The Supervisor acts as a hands-on leader within the workforce. Depending on project scale, your duties may vary.For smaller projects with contract values of $500,000 or less, the following responsibilities will be expected:
For larger projects exceeding $500,000, a Project Superintendent may be assigned, sharing some responsibilities outlined below. This structure is essential for effective organization and communication on larger endeavors, often necessitating multiple Supervisors.
Key Responsibilities:1) Preparation:
a) Ensure Safety, Quality, Production, and Customer Satisfaction.
b) Complete Daily Reports Accurately.
c) Familiarize yourself with project plans and anticipate future needs.
d) Gather necessary supplies for your crew ahead of time.
2) Communication:
a) Reach out if you have concerns or questions.
b) Provide end-of-shift updates to your Superintendent and Project Manager regarding progress, issues, and requirements. This is vital for maintaining project schedules and profitability.
3) Equipment Maintenance:
a) Ensure daily fueling, greasing, and general upkeep of equipment.
b) Report any repair needs to the nearest maintenance facility.
4) Leadership:
a) Exhibit confidence while remaining open to feedback.
b) Maintain professionalism and courtesy towards team members and clients.
c) Make informed decisions and accept accountability.
d) Seek guidance from colleagues or management when necessary.
e) Embrace learning opportunities to prepare for future advancement within TLM Constructors.
5) Organization:
a) Accurately code and submit receipts to the office.
b) Document daily work quantities and report them to the General Superintendent.
6) Time Management:
a) Review and approve time cards for accuracy.
b) Document any employee-related issues using company forms to ensure proper tracking and corrective action.
7) Meetings:
a) Attend weekly project meetings. If the Project or General Superintendent is unavailable, your presence is mandatory.
b) If possible, attend meetings alongside the Superintendent to gain insight and experience for future participation.
