Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Child Care Coordinator to join our team at the Young Mens Christian Association of the Treasure Coast. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the planning and implementation of school-age activities, summer camp programs, transportation, and teen programming.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Child Care Director with the day-to-day operation of the child care program.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans, activities, and programs for children.
  • Ensure the safety and security of children at all times.
  • Supervise and support staff members in their roles.
  • Manage annual child care expenses, enrollments, and accounts receivable.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and management.
  • Conduct facility tours and provide program information.
  • Assist with transportation and coordinate summer camp programs.
  • Provide classroom instruction and support as needed.
  • Order supplies and maintain inventory.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in child care or a related field.
  • CDA (Child Development Associate) certification.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • State qualifications for child care personnel.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to interact well with all levels of the public, members, staff, and management.
Working Conditions

The physical demands of this position include frequently lifting, moving, and holding children, occasionally lifting or moving heavy objects, and standing for long periods. The ability to physically and mentally react immediately to unexpected circumstances is essential.
