Position Overview

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Medical Surgical department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to patients during their recovery process. This position involves working a .9 FTE night shift schedule (7pm-7:30am, 3, 12-hour shifts per week) with rotating weekends.

Incentives Offered:

  • Night shift differential – $4.00 per hour
  • $4,000 hiring bonus for eligible external hires meeting qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively within a high-functioning team
  • Support the post-operative recovery of surgical patients
  • Assist Registered Nurses with admissions, discharges, and transfers
  • Measure and document vital signs, output, and weights
  • Collect specimens and perform blood tests as required
  • Facilitate patient mobility and transfers using safe handling techniques
  • Engage in continuing education and professional development opportunities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Nursing Assistant certification course
  • Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire
  • National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire

Preferred Experience:

  • 1 year of experience in a nursing home or hospital setting
