Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Brssd. As a Speech Language Pathologist - Special Education Specialist, you will be responsible for providing assessment and instruction in the areas of speech production, articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language to students identified as having special education needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess students referred for possible speech/language impairments and adhere to state and district criteria for eligibility.
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language impairments.
  • Provide direct instruction using evidence-based methods and materials to meet each student's individual needs.
  • Collaborate with other district professionals, family, and community to ensure students receive comprehensive support.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, school site meetings, and district meetings as scheduled or required.
  • Consult with school staff regarding speech/language students and provide professional development opportunities.
  • Prepare and maintain all written reports and records as required.
Requirements
  • Valid CA Clinical and Rehabilitative Services Credential with Language, Speech and Hearing (LSH) authorization or Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential.
  • AAC/AT specialist preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
