Medical Investigator

The State of Arizona Department of Health Services is seeking a skilled Medical Investigator to join our team. In this role, you will conduct professional standards investigative processes for certificate holders under the Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and Trauma System program jurisdiction.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Review complaints and prepare comprehensive automated standardized investigative reports.
- Conduct investigative interviews.
- Interpret Statute, Rule, Operating Instructions, scope of practice, and drug & alcohol probationer testing results.
- Manage BEMS enforcement database.
- Travel to enforcement-related meetings as necessary.
- Prepare for and testify at complex informal and formal hearings.
Salary: $57,500 - $61,590 per year
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Public Health, Regulatory or Law Enforcement Investigations, or a related field.
- 3 years of work-related experience in emergency medical services as a paramedic or EMT.
