Supply Chain Optimization Manager

**Job Overview:**
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Optimization Manager to join our team at JINKO SOLAR U.S. INDUSTRIES INC.
As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by optimizing our supply chain operations, managing materials, and coordinating production planning processes.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
**Estimated Salary:** $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage production capacity, material requirements, and inventory levels to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
- Evaluate existing production capacity, materials, warehousing, logistics, and so on, based on sales plans and business orders resource management, coordinating the allocation of personnel and machinery and equipment in various departments.
- Implement timely follow-up output and sales shipment arrangements for the shipment of finished products from each base, reduce delivery cycles, reduce backlog inventory, improve inventory turnover.
- Familiar with procurement cycles and dosage of each material, formulate a reasonable and accurate material demand plan, handle sluggish materials in a timely manner control and digestion work.
- Develop and execute material planning strategies to ensure timely availability of materials required for production.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production and customer demand while minimizing carrying costs.
- Monitor and analyze material usage trends to forecast future requirements accurately.
- Collaborate with production teams to develop production schedules that align with customer demand and resource availability.
- Ensure production schedules are efficient and achievable, taking into consideration machine and labor capacity.
- Continuously improve production planning processes to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Manage relationships with suppliers to secure timely and cost-effective deliveries of materials.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to improve terms and conditions.
- Identify potential alternative suppliers to mitigate risks and optimize costs.
- Implement inventory control measures to reduce excess and obsolete materials.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Develop and implement strategies for managing slow-moving or non-moving inventory.
- Utilize data analysis tools and software to generate reports and provide insights into material and production planning performance.
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend actionable solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Closely collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, production, and logistics, to ensure seamless operations.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to align on supply chain objectives and priorities.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bilingual in Mandarin/English is highly preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, industrial engineering, logistics, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications (such as APICS certification) can be advantageous.
- At least 5-7 years of progressive experience in materials management, inventory control, and production planning within a manufacturing or similar industry.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a team, overseeing procurement, inventory optimization, and supply chain processes.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP) to manage inventory levels, track materials, and plan production schedules.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data, forecast demand, and make informed decisions regarding inventory levels and production schedules.
- Thorough understanding of supply chain management principles, including inventory control methodologies, demand forecasting, supplier management, and logistics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, negotiate with suppliers, and effectively manage relationships.
- Leadership qualities to guide and motivate a team, set clear objectives, and drive performance in achieving production and inventory targets.
- Proven ability to identify issues within material control and production planning, devise solutions, and make timely decisions to optimize processes and mitigate risks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to inventory management, safety standards, and quality control within the industry.
