BASIC FUNCTION:

The primary objective of this role is to innovate and enhance products tailored for both established and developing markets, thereby contributing to the overall profitability of the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate on new product initiatives or enhancements under the guidance of the RF Product Development Manager. Design RF, analog, and digital circuitry as necessary for product advancement. Generate, distribute, and sustain parts lists, BOMs, ECNs, design documentation, analyses, and testing outcomes. Incorporate existing RF over IP (RFoIP) modules and assemblies into new offerings by integrating hardware and firmware interfaces to fulfill functional specifications. Utilize Digital Signal Processing (DSP) methodologies to enhance RFoIP products, boosting performance and introducing additional features. Investigate market needs and customer requests for products or features to identify potential development opportunities. Present findings to management. Revise or introduce new functionalities to current or legacy products as instructed by management through firmware and/or hardware modifications. Design digital control circuits and implement these within programmable logic devices. Develop software and firmware to manage products and circuits effectively. Aid in troubleshooting manufacturing and/or production challenges. Diagnose and repair digital and analog (RF) products to ascertain the root causes of failures. Support Production as required. Execute additional responsibilities as assigned while adhering to company policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

Exceptional written, verbal, and graphical communication skills are essential, along with the capability to engage with individuals at various organizational levels. This role demands professionalism and tact.

Attention to detail, strong mathematical skills, and proficient planning, organizational, time management, problem-solving, and project management abilities are required.

SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Familiarity with standard business operations and proficient use of various office equipment and software applications, including word processing and database software (MSWord, Outlook, Internet, etc.), is necessary.

Expertise in digital circuit design and a solid understanding of utilizing high-speed A/D and D/A ICs and circuits for digitizing analog RF signals for transmission and reconversion while preserving signal integrity is crucial.

A foundational understanding of basic DSP techniques and their implementation in programming is required. Proficiency in C programming language is essential.

A basic comprehension of RF signals and their application in satellite communications is necessary. The ability to learn RF signal management and analysis is expected.

Capability to comprehend and adhere to departmental operations and procedures is essential.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is required. 0–5 years of experience in DSP or RF design is preferred for this position.
