Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patients' needs and develop personalized care plans.
  • Provide clinical procedures safely and effectively, utilizing appropriate techniques and materials.
  • Utilize clinical judgment to provide high-quality care and make informed decisions.
  • Comply with OSHA regulations and infection control standards to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Encourage patient independence and promote self-care skills.
  • Develop, evaluate, and revise patient care goals in conjunction with patients and families.
  • Act as a patient advocate and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary care providers.
  • Coordinate goal-directed care and demonstrate appropriate use of community resources.
  • Discharge patients when goals are met and participate in case conferences.
  • Provide education and training to patients and families, and assist with training new staff.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an approved school of physical therapy.
  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
  • At least one year's experience as a registered therapist in a rehabilitation or acute care setting.
