Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Karen Language Interpreter to provide high-quality interpretation services for our clients in New York State.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will possess excellent interpretation skills, a strong understanding of Karen and English languages, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate and timely interpretation services between Karen and English languages
  • Work effectively in a variety of settings, including medical and education
  • Adhere to guidelines for NCIHC Code of Ethics / Standards of Practice
  • Complete assigned tasks and duties promptly and within approved guidelines
  • Stay up-to-date with new and changing technologies
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year interpretation experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Proficient computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with OPI/VRI technology
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
