Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Lifespan. As a key member of our primary care team, you will provide exceptional patient care, working closely with patients, staff, and providers to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide general and preventative care, conducting check-ups, treating illnesses, ordering lab tests, and prescribing medications for children and adults.
  • Educate patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments.
  • Manage patients who do not require complex medical management or specialized treatment.
  • Demonstrate the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care appropriate to the age of patients.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and staff, regardless of age.
  • Complete charting and required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the development and review of office policies and procedures.
  • Promote a safety-conscious work environment.
Requirements
  • Graduation with a master's degree from an accredited advanced nurse practitioner program.
  • Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
  • Current licensure as an ARNP in the State of Rhode Island.
  • Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
  • Knowledge of basic emergency department, internal medicine, generalist, occupational medicine, and family practice procedures.
  • Organizational and analytical skills to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Ability to adjust responsibilities to accommodate a fast-paced work environment while maintaining excellent customer service and staff interactions.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This position is located in a healthcare environment, such as an acute care hospital, physician's office, or ancillary healthcare enterprise. Hazards are minimized by adherence to established safety procedures and precautions.
