Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Specialist to join our team at Airgas. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to support the company's sales, integration, service, and associate training activities related to the BotX cobot welder product offering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to Airgas/Red-D-Arc's health and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Airgas Sales and Advanced Fabrication teams to promote the sale of the BotX product line through training, meetings, and customer visits.
  • Partner with Red-D-Arc District Managers to develop local sales plans to identify new customers and increase sales.
  • Perform BotX installations, demonstrations, application analysis, service, and technical support.
  • Regularly communicate with existing BotX customers to ensure their satisfaction and provide feedback to the Weld Automation Product Manager.
  • Assist in managing assembly, inventory, and scheduling of the product line.
  • Support the Product Manager in establishing, publishing, and performing training on preventative maintenance procedures for the BotX equipment.
  • Assist Marketing in developing strategic sales campaigns and marketing programs.
  • Contact customers directly to follow up on incoming leads and inquiries.
  • Represent the company at trade association meetings and trade shows.
  • Provide training for Weld Process Specialists, sales, and technicians on BotX product lines.
  • Offer advanced technical support for branches and customers.
  • Coordinate specialized technical support from OEM manufacturers.
  • Work with the Product Manager on new product development.
  • Ensure compliance with all governmental regulatory requirements.

Salary Range:

The estimated salary for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. A comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, vacation time, sick leave, and paid holidays, is also provided.

Requirements:

  • A post-secondary education equivalent to a College degree in Business Administration or Welding/Robotics Engineering Technician is preferred.
  • More than three years of experience in the welding or other related industry is required.
  • Work experience in the welding industry can be substituted for post-secondary education.
  • Welding training is an asset.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong MIG welding process knowledge is essential.
  • Experience with Robotic and weld automation applications is an asset but not a requirement.
  • The ability to anticipate and solve problems, act decisively, and persist in the face of obstacles is crucial.
  • Adaptability and the ability to prioritize work with varying exceptions are necessary.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, are required.
  • The ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures is essential.
  • Working with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds is necessary.
  • The ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision is required.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Good knowledge of weld processes and equipment is required.
