Job Title: Registered Nurse ICU Stepdown

HCA Florida Healthcare is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our ICU Stepdown team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse to provide care for patients in our ICU Stepdown unit. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation
  • Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team
  • Use clinical judgment to manage delivery of patient care safely and effectively
  • Monitor critical vital signs enabling intervention of life-threatening situations
  • Educate patients regarding their medications, procedure, and treatments, providing patients and their families with support throughout their stay
Requirements:
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or able to obtain licensure prior to start
  • 1-3 years of RN experience in an acute care environment preferred
  • BSN is preferred
  • BLS, (AHA Healthcare provider) required
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric or PALS Pediatric Adv. Life Support, or PALS Instructor must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
  • NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • ACLS required within 6 months
