About the Role

We are seeking a skilled LPN to join our team at Roosevelt General Hospital and Clinics. As an LPN, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Direct Patient Care: Provide direct and indirect patient care services that meet the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care; communicate effectively with patients and families to address their needs and concerns.
  • Maintain Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with regulatory agency requirements, nursing policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and address any concerns or issues.
  • Perform Essential Functions
    • Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and patient's clinical condition.
    • Perform patient care responsibilities considering needs specific to the standard of care for patient's age.
    • Assess and reassess pain management techniques utilized. Educates the patient and family regarding pain management.
    • Formulate a teaching plan based on identified patient learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning; family is included in teaching as appropriate.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Education and Certifications:
    • CURRENT LPN licensure in the state of New Mexico
    • CURRENT Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within thirty (30) days of hire
    • CURRENT Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

This position requires working irregular hours, including call hours, and may involve exposure to blood and body fluids, communicable diseases, chemicals, radiation, and repetitive motions. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain a good working relationship with colleagues and patients.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
