Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and operate chamber control systems, including hand valves and compressors, while troubleshooting and repairing associated equipment.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respiratory equipment during hyperbaric treatments.
- Prepare and educate patients on hyperbaric procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Conduct safety checks and modify decompression calculations to enhance patient safety.
- Assist with wound care tasks and perform non-invasive vascular testing as per physician orders.
- Provide mentorship and training to staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of patient care tailored to various age groups.
Licensure and Certification:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) certification from the National Board of Diving & Hyperbaric Medical Technology.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hyperbaric technician role preferred.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Possession of a qualifying pathway credential for obtaining CHT.
- Advanced knowledge of hyperbaric procedures and equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry weights as specified, perform maintenance and repairs, and work in enclosed environments.
- Must meet health and safety standards as determined by the Medical Director.
