As an Artisan Pizza Chef, you will uphold the highest quality standards for every dish served. Your commitment to consistency and excellence will ensure an unforgettable dining experience in a collaborative kitchen atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Willingness to master the art of crafting homemade pastas and breads daily.
  • Interest in utilizing wood-fired grills and ovens for cooking.
  • Desire to learn whole animal butchery techniques.
  • Prepare high-quality cuisine with precision, adhering to standard portion sizes and cooking methods.
  • Take full responsibility for the quality of all products served.
  • Comply with all health regulations regarding cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Maintain adequate levels of food products at line stations for seamless service.
  • Ensure a clean and sanitary workstation, including all kitchen equipment.
  • Prepare items for various cooking methods, including broiling, grilling, and sautéing.
  • Follow proper plating and garnish techniques for all dishes.
  • Assist with food preparation during slower periods as needed.
  • Properly close the kitchen following the established checklist and assist colleagues in closing duties.
  • Participate in all scheduled employee meetings and contribute suggestions for improvement.

Qualifications:

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and line cooking.
  • Basic understanding of professional cooking techniques and knife skills.
  • Familiarity with food cost management.
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety, sanitation, and food handling practices.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to read and comprehend basic cooking instructions.
  • Effective communication skills with management and kitchen staff.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing and walking.
  • Occasional exposure to cold, heat, and water.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, or crawl as needed.
  • Occasional lifting or carrying of items up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to ascend or descend ladders and stairs.
  • Frequent wrist and spine movement during kitchen tasks.
  • Consistent reaching and performing detailed work in the kitchen.
  • Regular verbal communication and idea exchange.
