Job Position Description:

This position is responsible for maintaining cleaner and healthier environments for our customer's buildings and grounds by performing various essential duties and responsibilities.

  • Perform all cleaning duties for facilities using provided ServiceMaster products, tools, and procedures.
  • Cleaning duties include sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash removal, windows cleaning, and cleaning and moving furniture and equipment.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
  • Open and lock facilities, enable and disable security systems as needed.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper is a plus but not required.
  • On-the-job training will be provided to those with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Experience working for a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital, or school is a plus.
  • The ability to be flexible and work at a fast-paced and multi-tasked job is a must.
  • Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude and contribute to the overall team effort, including being in uniform, dependable, and on time.
  • Respect and understanding for co-workers and customers are essential.
  • Must be able to communicate in English.
  • A clean background is required.
  • Work schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, $14.00 per hour.
Physical Demands and Qualifications:
  • Constant standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching overhead, and reaching forward. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
  • Ability to read cleaning instructions.
  • Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses.
  • Vacuuming and mopping.
