Job Title: Principal Data Architect

Mile Two, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Principal Data Architect to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our data architecture and driving business success.

About the Role

The Principal Data Architect will be responsible for strengthening the impact of business information by identifying, defining, and analyzing how information assets drive business outcomes. You will work closely with our enterprise architect to develop a data architecture strategy and supporting platforms, ensuring that our data systems and solutions are aligned with our business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain complex data systems and solutions
  • Create and maintain current- and target-state data architectures
  • Define and manage standards, guidelines, and processes to ensure data quality
  • Ensure technology solutions are in alignment with data architecture principles and the target state
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Demonstrated data architecture skills, including experience with data mesh principles
  • Experience working with US federal data architecture standards and policies
  • Experience with data science tools and techniques
  • Demonstrated experience developing DoD data architecture
  • Data serialization and deserialization experience
  • Experience working in Google Cloud, AWS, and/or Azure
Desired Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • A Master's Degree in a relevant field
  • Demonstrated experience as a Chief Data Officer
  • Demonstrated experience working with senior government officials
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating complex concepts across a diverse stakeholder population
  • Experience working with openUCX framework
  • Experience working enterprise scale data platforms
  • Proficiency in Python, compiled programming languages, and SQL
