Job Title: Pipefitter Journeyman

We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter Journeyman to join our team at Bechtel Corporation.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial construction as a journeyman pipefitter. They will possess basic rigging skills and be proficient in the use of small power tools, including die grinders and right-angle grinders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and comprehend piping isometric drawings
  • Read and comprehend piping & instrument diagrams
  • 3+ years' experience in the testing and commissioning of piping systems
  • Capable of efficiently planning work
  • Capable of weld joint preparation to meet project codes and standards
  • Proficient in pipe lay-out
  • Threads pipe using a threading machine
  • Able to read and comprehend support details/drawings
  • May assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installation
  • Cleans and performs minor maintenance activities on tools and equipment
  • Must be able to safely traverse uneven terrain with tools and building materials
  • Must be able to climb vertical ladders and work from heights as necessary
  • Adheres to all safety procedures
  • Understand the use of all types of personal fall arrest systems
  • Able to access scaffold
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial construction and a proven track record of success as a journeyman pipefitter. They will be able to work effectively in a team environment and possess excellent communication skills.
