Position Overview

The Human Resources Support Intern will assist in administrative functions and services to promote the effective and efficient operation of the human resources department within the organization.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Maintaining precise and current human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Conducting periodic audits of HR files and records to verify that all necessary documents are collected and filed correctly.
  • Providing clerical assistance to the HR department.
  • Managing the HR team calendar and scheduling.
  • Assisting with the onboarding processes for new hires.
  • Preparing paperwork, folders, and scheduling to facilitate a seamless onboarding experience across various departments.
  • Supporting the creation, implementation, and maintenance of Team Member communications.
  • Assisting in the planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and celebrations.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
  • Exhibiting and practicing the fundamental behaviors of the Third Coast Way.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of HR principles and practices.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to a dynamic HR environment.
Work Experience:
  • Two years of experience in an administrative assistant role is required.
Skills and Competencies:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Physical Requirements:
  • 100% Office Setting, including sitting, some bending, walking, and viewing.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
