Locum Tenens Orthopaedic Surgeon Opportunity in Pennsylvania

Are you a motivated and experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon seeking a challenging locum tenens opportunity to provide exceptional surgical care in a dynamic outpatient and inpatient setting? MD Staff, LLC is currently seeking a qualified physician to join our team as a Locum Tenens Orthopaedic Surgeon in Pennsylvania.
Job Description:We are seeking an Orthopaedic Surgeon with expertise in total joint replacements (knees and hips) to perform surgical procedures in an operating room setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and a comprehensive knowledge base in Orthopaedic Surgery.
The selected candidate will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients before, during, and after surgery. This includes conducting preoperative evaluations, ordering diagnostic tests, and managing postoperative care. The physician will also maintain meticulous documentation within the Epic electronic medical record system.
Requirements:- Active medical license in the state of Pennsylvania
- Board-certified or board-eligible with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (preferred)
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Successful completion of an accredited Orthopaedic Surgery residency program
- Minimum of 10 days for credentialing
- Strong clinical skills and a comprehensive knowledge base in Orthopaedic Surgery
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Competitive compensation package for locum tenens physicians, scheduled clinical hours only, with no call responsibilities (Mondays and Fridays). The estimated salary for this position is around $250,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, the opportunity to contribute to a growing practice and potentially extend the initial assignment based on performance.
