CNC Machinist II - Panels (1st Shift)

As a CNC Machinist II, your primary responsibilities will include loading programs and executing tasks such as sawing, drilling, and routing on the CNC machining center. You will be expected to select and install appropriate fixtures as needed for specific components and make minor adjustments to programs when necessary.

We currently have openings for full-time CNC Machinist II positions in our Panels division on 1st shift.

1st shift hours are Monday-Friday from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

Compensation: Starting at $21.69 per hour on 1st shift, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform the duties of a CNC Mill Operator I.
  • Demonstrate strong technical skills and a solid understanding of CNC machining operations.
  • Gather materials according to work orders.
  • Complete setup tasks, including identifying and setting drills/end mills/cutters and other necessary tooling, panel/part layout, fixture layout (if applicable), and ensuring proper vacuum levels.
  • Possess a basic understanding of G and M codes.
  • Have working knowledge of OSAI controls and/or Fanuc, Mazak, and Haas controls.
  • Load and edit CNC programs as required.
  • Select appropriate fixtures for parts/work orders.
  • Assess the CNC table working surface for adequacy or necessary preparation.
  • Safely perform tasks such as sawing, routing, and drilling on the mill.
  • Conduct required quality checks before, during, and after machining using blueprints, calipers, height gauges, etc.
  • Print and post work schedules for the work center.
  • Interpret and adhere to work schedules for the work center.
  • Maintain CNC equipment and tooling.
  • Provide optimal value to customers, including cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Engage in continuous improvement of products, processes, equipment, and methods by communicating issues and opportunities to supervisors, engineers, and programmers.
  • Address internal and external inquiries in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
  • Continuously seek ways to enhance job efficiency and performance.
  • Assist other departments as needed.
  • Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of CNC experience is required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work overtime.
Requirements:
  • Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR Regulations. Therefore, candidates must be U.S. Citizens or U.S. Permanent Residents ('Green Card').
