Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU Step Down

Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our High Intensity Care Unit (HICU), you will provide safe, age-appropriate patient care and function as an advisor, resource, and leader for other members of the patient care team. You will consistently continue to meet the requirements and expectations for RN II on the clinical ladder.

Unit Summary:

The HICU is a 20-bed unit that provides care for patients who require attention for acute brain injury, respiratory assistance, or special monitoring. Our team approach ensures that patients receive comprehensive care, and our staff members are outgoing and positive, utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, implement clinical nursing interventions, and develop and implement patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Formal working knowledge equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field
  • 2+ years of experience in the area of clinical expertise
  • Maryland Registered Nurse License
  • American Heart Association BLS CPR certification
