Job Summary

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing excellent customer service to our students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including changing filters, installing furniture and fixtures, and relamping light fixtures
  • Support the Trades staff in carrying out planned, scheduled, preventative, and corrective maintenance
  • Assist with warehouse and surplus efforts, including receiving and storing materials
  • Provide excellent customer service to our students, faculty, and staff
Requirements
  • Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
  • Must meet Academic Standing Requirements
  • Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
  • Previous experience working with hand-tools, troubleshooting, and making repairs is preferred
Working Conditions

Maintenance Assistants will work in a fast-paced environment, often with multiple priorities and deadlines. They will be required to lift, carry, and move heavy objects, and may be exposed to dust, noise, and other hazards.
