RPG Programmer Job Description

About the Role

Murphy & Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced RPG programmer to join our team. As an RPG programmer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, supporting, and implementing solutions for our Optical and Jewelry systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Updates and enhancements to existing iSeries options
• Analysis of existing Application codebase
• API integration with iLocal Locker System
• Coding based on Client SME approved Design document
• On-call support on a rotation basis

Requirements

• Must have skills in RPG programming, API integration, and coding
• Ability to understand changes and explain logic when necessary
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Work Environment

This is a hybrid remote role, with the expectation of being onsite Monday to Wednesday. The daily schedule is 40 hours a week, with no overtime anticipated. The team typically arrives between 7-9am and leaves around 4-5pm.
