OVERVIEW:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment at SMI IMAGING facilities.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of MRI procedures and technologies.
  • Capture high-quality images for physician diagnosis and treatment of various conditions.
  • Select appropriate imaging techniques, manage console operations, and ensure accurate patient data entry.
  • Transfer images to storage media and maintain comprehensive study documentation.
  • Perform a variety of tasks with a degree of creativity and independence.
  • Exhibit proficiency in job-related skills tailored to specific patient populations and departmental services, while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Utilize and manage equipment and devices to maintain a safe and effective working environment.
  • Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures related to departmental operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Licensure/Certification:
  • Registered MRI Technologist by the A.R.R.T. or ARMRIT.
  • Current CPR certification.
Experience:
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience in a fast-paced MRI setting.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This role may involve lifting and carrying items up to 40 pounds, prolonged periods of sitting, and frequent standing and walking.

DRESS CODE:

Business casual or scrubs, depending on departmental requirements.
