We are seeking a skilled Wood Finishing Specialist to join our team at Vermont Farm Table. As a Finishing Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality finishes for our custom solid wood furniture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply wood finishing products to solid wood tables, bases, and components
  • Run quality control assessments at the finishing level
  • Add fasteners, and assemble components
  • Update production cards within the VFT operational database
  • Develop custom solutions to match client requests and control samples
  • Maintain detailed record keeping and library of all custom finishes
  • Monitor finish supply inventory levels and submit purchasing requests as necessary
  • Maintain and keep the finishing equipment/room clean and organized

Requirements:

  • Strong work ethic and meticulous attention to detail
  • Knowledge of solid wood finishing process is preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of brush and/or spray equipment application techniques is preferred but not required
  • Ability to read shop drawings
  • Ability to lift up to 100lbs
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer and typing skills

Benefits:

  • $20.00/hr starting pay, or based on experience
