Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team at Community Health Centers. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our dental team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Provide exceptional patient care, including preparing patients for treatment, assisting dentists during procedures, and educating patients on oral health.
  • Instrument Preparation: Assemble and sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Diagnostic Imaging: Take and develop radiographs, and assist with other diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain patient records, order supplies, and perform other administrative duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; dental assistant diploma or certificate from an accredited school or training program, including dental radiology required.
  • Experience: 2 years' experience in a dental setting preferred; ability to effectively use computer software and an electronic health record system.
  • Certification/Licensure: Current/valid Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Certificate (EFDA) within 9 months from date of hire required; current/valid BLS certification within 30 days from date of hire.
