Cayuga Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse Imaging to join our team. This is a professional position responsible for the coordination of outpatient and inpatient services for Cayuga Medical Center at Ithaca.

This position will be responsible to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate services provided for patients. The ideal candidate will be able to function as a procedure nurse as well as support the clinical needs of all patients that utilize Imaging services at Main Campus, East Campus, and Cayuga Park Campus.

The Registered Nurse Imaging will be responsible for linking the hospital and physicians by providing services for inpatients and outpatients. These services include but are not limited to preadmission nursing assessments, testing, care, and coordinating these inpatient and outpatient procedures with the physicians and/or other groups as appropriate.

Additionally, the Registered Nurse Imaging will provide post-procedure care and assessment of inpatient and outpatient procedure patients. The role also involves maintaining emergency readiness through daily, weekly, and monthly emergency equipment checks.

The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, with previous cardiac or critical care nursing experience being strongly encouraged. The Registered Nurse Imaging will be required to obtain BLS certification during the introductory period and ACLS certification prior to completion of the introductory period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain emergency readiness through daily, weekly, and monthly emergency equipment checks.
  • Provide nursing care before, during, and after completion of a special procedure.
  • Respond to all clinical needs with the imaging departments of CHS Main Campus, East Campus, and Cayuga Park.
  • Serve as an outward-facing representative of the Imaging Department with regard to ordering provider office communication.
  • Perform pre-procedure and post-procedure education.

Requirements:

  • Current NYS Registered Nursing license.
  • Will obtain BLS certification during the introductory period.
  • ACLS certification must be obtained prior to completion of the introductory period.

Physical Requirements:

The Registered Nurse Imaging will be required to repetitively use hands and fingers, may require lifting and carrying light loads, and will need to sit, walk, or stand for long periods of time.

Location and Travel Requirements:

The Registered Nurse Imaging will be based at Cayuga Medical Center at Ithaca, with less than 25% travel required.

Pay Range Disclosure:

The salary for this position will be between $35.63 and $44.18 per hour.
