Job Summary

Cal Poly Pomona Foundation Employment Services is seeking a Part-Time Student Assistant to work in the Graduate Resource Center (Project LOGRAR), under the supervision of Dr. Salomon Oldak, Co-Principal Investigator.

About Us

As the largest employer of students on the Cal Poly Pomona campus, the Foundation offers valuable work experience and hands-on training to approximately 1,500 Cal Poly Pomona students each year. The Foundation offers positions in various fields, including technology, science, retail, culinary arts, hospitality management, leadership, and research grants.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the daily operations of the Graduate Resource Center.
  • Support the Graduate Studies Advisor and office of Graduate Studies when necessary.
Requirements
  • Must be a Cal Poly Student pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree.
  • Proficiency with communication software and Internet applications (e.g., Web browsers, SFTP, secure POP mail programs).
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills in English.
  • Responsible and dependable.
  • Ability to work well with various people, including students, faculty, staff, and high-level administrators.
  • Motivated, innovative, and shows initiative.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with a University Graduate program.
  • Evening/Night availability is strongly preferred.
